Dear ACDS Member,
Re: Horse Registration - ACDS Members Only
Federal Council has deemed ACDS Horse Registration will be compulsory from 1.1.2007
for horse/ponies competing at all levels of Combined Driving Events. Most members
will be aware of this as this information has been documented in several issues
of the Journal. Whilst it is optional for non CDE drivers to have their horses registered,
Federal Council would like to encourage all members to be registered. Forms have
been sent to your Club Secretary.
FEES
- Registration of Horse - $10.00
- Application for replacement of registration card
- $5.00
- Change of owner/driver/lessee advice - $5.00 (This
involves reissuing a new card).
There is a change in the procedure of registering a horse.
- The completed form and payment (cheque/money
order made out to the ACDS) can be:
- Given to Club Secretary (for an immediate issue
of receipt which means horse is instantly registered and awaiting receipt of card.
- Forwarded direct to Horse Registrar and a card
will be issued in due course.
- The Club Secretary will issue a receipt with
the date of payment, the horse's name and the name of the owner/driver/lessee to
the member.
- The horse is immediately registered.
- Photocopy of this receipt may be attached to
a CDE entry form as proof of registration.
- The Club Secretary will forward the form and
payment to the Federal Horse Registrar, Sue Waters, 4 Centre Avenue, Bittern Victoria
3918.
- A registration card will be issued in due course
and posted direct to the member.
- It is not necessary for Club Secretaries to
keep a copy of the form, sufficient that a copy of the receipt is retained.
- Event Secretaries will now be required to include
a section on the CDE entry form for the horse registration number. (A photocopy
of the receipt can be used pending the issuing of the registration card with a number).
- A list of Horse names and registration numbers
will then need to be submitted by the Event Secretary to the Horse Registrar for
checking, similar to the requirement of checking the ACDS membership of a competitor
is current.
- There is a form for Members requiring a new
card or for those who need to advise change of details. This form is sent direct
to the Registrar (as detailed on the form).
Any queries please contact the Federal Horse Registrar using any of the above contacts.
